Weimaraner

The Weimaraner was used in the early nineteenth century as a hunting dog by the nobles of Weimar in Germany.

Welsh Corgi - Cardigan

The Cardigan Corgi is less well known than the Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Welsh Corgi - Pembroke

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a short-legged, smooth-coated, highly intelligent dog. It does not have a tail.

Welsh Springer Spaniel

The Welsh Springer Spaniel breed is smaller than the English Springer Spaniel and used to be known as the Starter.

Welsh Terrier

The Welsh Terrier is wire-haired and resembles the fox terrier; coloured like Airedale.

West Highland White Terrier (Westie)

The West Highland White Terrier is small with a long active body and short, muscular legs; white wiry coat.

Whippet

The Whippet was bred for racing; a cross between the greyhound and terrier.

Wire-haired Pointing Griffon

The Wire-haired Pointing Griffon was developed by Dutch sportsman Edward Korthals around 1870. It is also known as Korthals Griffon.
